The role:
Care space Australia is seeking experienced disability and mental health support workers at their facility in Lower King WA. Multiple Positions Available.
We are welcoming workers who have passion to support and understand the people with disabilities. We are recruiting friendly, caring and flexible workers who are happy to work in rosters which may be on the weekend, on night shifts and/or public holidays. The workers will be required to support children and adults with disability. If you are experienced and pose the above-mentioned qualities, you are invited to apply for this role. Task & responsibilities
- your role will include, supporting people with disabilities to increase their potential and to live as independently as possible within the community.
- risk assessment and support people to safely access services in the community
- liaise with other agencies, and to ensure people with disabilities understand the range of services that are available to enable them to advance their goal plan
- support in care planning and implementation
- Accompanying disabled persons during daily activities
- Preparing food and performing housekeeping tasks for the client
- Provide emotional support, companionship and look after hygiene and cleanliness.
- Manage complex behaviour concerns
- Work with diverse populations
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards
- Administer medication as required and instructed
- Write clear, precise, and factual handover notes and incident reports to managers and colleagues
Qualification & experience
Qualification & Experience
- NDIS check
- WWCC
- CPR/Manual Handling
- CERT III in individual support or equivalent qualifiction
- Driver’s License
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the industry
