Task & responsibilities

• Study drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Order and select timber and materials, preparing layouts for construction.
• Cut materials, assemble and nail cut and shaped parts.
• Erect frameworks, panelised systems, and roof framing; lay sub-flooring and floorboards.
• Verify the trueness of structures and ensure accuracy in installations.
• Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames.
• Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install..
• Cut wood joints and assemble fixtures.
• Construct, erect, and install concrete formwork, as well as repair and renovate existing fittings..
• Work with materials such as wood, plywood, lightweight steel, wallboard, plastics, perspex, and metals.

Qualification & experience

• 1-2 years of experience in carpentry.
• Certificate III in Carpentry or a relevant qualification is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
