Landscape Gardener

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Tradesman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Landscape Gardening, with a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional outdoor spaces. 

You will be responsible for executing landscape projects to the highest standard, on time and within budget. 

Requirements for successful overseas applicants : 

• Have relevant skills and experience for the nominated occupation.
• Pass an approved English test, unless exempt by passport or education history.
• Arrange and maintain Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC), as required under the Subclass 482 visa.
• Travel Expenses: Overseas applicants are responsible for arranging and paying for their initial flight to Australia. 

Proficiencies:

• Proven experience as a Landscape Tradesman or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.
• Competence in operating landscaping tools and machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute landscape construction projects, including, paving, retaining walls, concreting and other hardscape and softscape elements.
• Read and interpret landscape plans and drawings.
• Safely operate a wide range of landscaping tools and equipment.
• Install plants, trees, shrubs, and turf as per design specifications.
• Build and install outdoor features such as garden beds, fencing, courtyards, and pools.
• Carry out regular garden property maintenance for clients.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite in compliance with WHS regulation.

Qualification & experience

Preferred Qualifications and Proficiencies:

• Cert III or equivalent qualification in landscaping or horticulture.
• Experience with high-end residential projects.
• Knowledge of plants and materials.
• Structural landscaping.
• Stone Masonry. 
• White Card (to be obtained).
• Valid driver’s license – International driver’s need to transfer to a NSW driving license within 6 months from arrival in Australia. 
• Experience operating small excavators would be beneficial.
