NK Management Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair vehicle issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high customer satisfaction. Experience with various vehicle makes and models is preferred.

Task & Responsibilities

•    Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in engines and parts.

•    Remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection.

•    Repair or replace worn and defective parts, referring to service manuals as necessary.

•    Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with pollution regulations.

•    Reassemble engines and parts after repairs.

•    Test and adjust mechanical parts post-repair to ensure proper functionality.

•    Utilize computers to diagnose and test parts effectively.

•    Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates, detailing any work required for compliance.

•    Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls as needed.

Qualification & Experience

•    Qualification: AQF Certificate III and IV or equivalent level of education required.

•    Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in motor mechanics or a related field.

•    Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components.

•    Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems and technologies, including both traditional and modern vehicles.

•    Tools Proficiency: Experience with a wide range of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.

•    Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address mechanical issues effectively.

•    Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all repair and maintenance tasks.

•    Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent service.

•    Valid Driver’s License: A current and valid driver's license; additional certifications (e.g., Automotive Service Excellence) are a plus.

•    Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

WORKING HOURS

•    Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
