The role:
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary plus superannuation. You will work with a wide range of vehicles in a modern workshop and have opportunities for overtime and professional development.
Key Duties
- Conduct preventative maintenance, logbook servicing, and safety inspections
- Detect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and auto-electrical faults
- Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and braking systems
- Perform wheel alignments and tyre-related services, including fitting and puncture repairs
- Adjust and test mechanical components after repair to ensure proper performance
- Use specialised tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues
- Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer and safety standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum of 12 month’s relevant post-qualification mechanical experience
- Current driver’s licence
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality service
