About Us:
Caring SA Pty Ltd is committed to providing compassionate and professional care to individuals in health care facilities and in their homes. We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Nursing Support Workers / Personal Carers to join our growing team in Modbury, South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Nursing Support Worker / Personal Carer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Supporting individuals with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and use of mobility aids.
- Facilitating communication for clients with speech or language difficulties.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals in developing and implementing personalised care and support plans.
- Assisting with cognitive and behavioural support, including following therapy and intervention plans for individuals with dementia or related conditions.
- Monitoring and recording changes in health status or behaviour and reporting any concerns to the nursing or medical team.
- Supporting clients with rehabilitation activities and basic treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Administering medications as directed and providing timely assistance to therapists during treatment sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification in aged care, disability, or community services).
- Previous experience in a similar care role is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices, infection control, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A current First Aid Certificate and Manual Handling training.
- Valid Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Full working rights in Australia.
