Operations Manager

Officers Mess is a premier dining destination located on the banks of the vibrant city of Brisbane, Australia. 

Renowned for our exceptional cuisine, relaxed ambiance, and personalized service, we specialise in creating unforgettable experiences for our patrons, including private events and functions, we are seeking a talented and dynamic Operations Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the day to day functions of our FOH operations. This role requires a dynamic individual who has extremely strong time management, prioritisation and leadership skills.

This is a Wednesday to Sunday role and the expectation is for the Operations Manager to be on the floor at all peak times.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Rostering

   - Ensure that we have the right people at the right time in the right places.

    - Build and maintain relationships with key clients and customers.

   - Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the venue General Manager.

2. Recruitment

   - Timely recruitment.

   - A strong knowledge of onboarding and payroll.

   - Strong skills in compliance.

   - Provide on-site support during events and key restaurant functions as needed.

4. Stock Control

   - Weekly liquor stocktakes

   - Ordering of liquor and sundry stock items within budgeted guidelines

   - Monitoring of sales reports to provide recommendations of sales products

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations within the hospitality, events, or restaurant industry.

- Proven track record of achieving wage targets and driving revenue growth.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and POS software

- RMLV certificate and Approved Manager Licence.
