PAINTER

• preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
• selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
• applying paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces by using brushes, rollers and sprays
• hanging wallpaper on the wall if required, 
• matching patterns and trimming edges of the wallpapers

Task & responsibilities

• cleansing equipment, tools, and work areas
• combining and mixing the paint according to the requirements
• Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
• Receiving the delivery of the goods & storing them in formally organized manner as per the selected industry environment, application of the occupational health, safety

Qualification & experience

minimum cert III in painting required
