Personal Care Worker - Taigum

Symes Grove Residential Aged Care is located in Taigum and we are currently looking for Personal Care Workers to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

The shifts we are currently advertising for are our 2pm-8:15pm shift.

About the role:

• Providing quality assistance with a range of daily activities including supporting residents with preparing meals, cooking and cleaning up
• Supporting residents with self-care including getting out of bed when they are ready, bathing, and enabling them to dress as they please
• Offering motivation and enthusiasm for residents to complete the jobs and tasks they wish to - promoting life enrichment and enjoyment
• Assisting with general housekeeping and laundry duties and keeping the cottages clean
• Involvement with daily living duties, along with social and recreational activities

About you:

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or similar
• National Police clearance (current within the last 3 years)
• NDIS clearance
• Full Covid Vaccination evidence
• Hepatitis B & Tetanus immunisationsProviding emotional, social support to residents in a companion-style role
• Enthusiastic, compassionate and personable
• Be committed to supporting the elderly and comfortable working within professional boundaries and guidelines
