The role:

Public Relations Officer (PRO) 

position will work closely with all levels of management with a strong focus on brand development, stakeholder engagement, and community relationships. The PRO reportsdirectly to CEO to produce accurate and timely results by building a trusted image in the market through professional communications, marketing, and public relations initiatives.

The position demands high attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet delivery requirements and deadlines. You will also be involved in assisting the HR Manager, RTO Manager and will be responsible for developing and delivering effective public relations strategies, media campaigns, and stakeholder engagement programs that enhance our company’s brand and reputation

Task & responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time Public Relations Officer with 2+ years of experience working in an international and domestic institutions to join our team. In your role as a Public Relations Officer, your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following;

  • Plan, develop, and implement public relations and communication strategies.
  • Prepare promotional materials for education agents.
  • Overseeing internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging of marketing/promotional campaigns, advertising and events.
  • Directing social media strategy and engagement to build brand presence  
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, media statements, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, clients, education agents, local & international students, influencers and community stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor the organisation’s reputation and image through print media, online channels and social media.
  • Support marketing initiatives, advertising campaigns, and corporate events.
  • Monitor public perception, industry trends, and competitor activity to adjust PR strategies.
  • Leading and managing the external communication team, delegating tasks, and overseeing performance
  • Provide reporting and analysis of PR campaigns and recommend improvements.
  • Acting as the organisation’s spokesperson where appropriate.

Qualification & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or in a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in public relations, marketing, media, or communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in an educational institution or similar environment.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team to plan and execute marketing and promotional activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and be able to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screening.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
