Task & responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and counsel patients on medication use.
• Receive prescriptions, check patient histories, ensure safe dosage & drug compatibility.
• Prepare, supervise, and label medicines (tablets, liquids, ointments, compounded products).
• Supply non-prescription medicines, diagnostic tools, and therapeutic aids.
• Maintain accurate prescription files & controlled substance records.
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services within correctional facilities, including counselling.
• Manage daily operations: inventory, stock control, compliance with QCPP & PBS.
• Provide professional services: DAAs, immunisations, health screenings.

Qualification & experience

• Registration with AHPRA 
• Completed a Bachelor or higher education in Pharmacy 
• A minimum of one year of community pharmacy experience 
• Demonstrated clinical pharmacy knowledge & medication safety awareness.
• Strong written & oral communication skills in English
• Time management skills, problem-solving initiative, and ability to work independently & collaboratively.
• Passion for rural healthcare and delivering patient-centred service.
