QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

•    Education: AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)

•    Experience:  Atleast 1 year of experience in retail sales or related field.    

Requirement:

•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

•    Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a dynamic environment.

•    Confidence in using POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

•    Able to work under pressure in a very busy environment

•    Communicate promotional event information to maximise results

•    Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed customer expectations

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services

•    Responding to customers' inquiries and complaints about goods and services

•    Ensuring that goods and services are correctly priced and displayed

•    Instructing staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales procedures

•    Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action

•    Taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock

•    Manage cash registers, handle transactions, reconcile daily takings, and follow secure cash handling protocols

•    Supervise weekly online promotions and discounts, manage liquor specials in flyers published in local newspapers, and ensure these marketing efforts boost foot traffic and online orders.

•    Compiling accurate reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance to provide insights and recommendations for improvement

•    Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favourable terms

•    Overseeing the store’s appearance, ensuring merchandise is well-presented and that the store is clean and inviting

•    Ensure compliance with Australian laws including workplace health and safety, fair trading, and liquor/tobacco licensing

WORKING HOURS

•    Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
