The role:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Room Leader to join our dynamic team! As a Room Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of young children and ensuring their wellbeing and development.

Task & responsibilities
As a full-time Room Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Providing direct care and supervision to support children’s social, emotional, and physical development in a nurturing environment.
- Supporting the lead educator in implementing daily routines and activities within your designated room.
- Observing and documenting children's behaviour and progress to assist with planning group activities and learning opportunities.
- Building warm, supportive relationships with children, families, and team members to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children by maintaining a clean, hygienic, and stimulating environment.
- Following Centre policies and procedures to meet National Quality Standards and support regulatory compliance.
- Participating in staff meetings and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in childcare practices.
- Assisting children with challenging behaviours using positive and age-appropriate strategies under the guidance of senior staff.
Qualification & experience
The minimum requirements for the position are:
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification).
- At least 12 months of proven experience working with children aged 0-6 years in an early childhood education setting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- First aid qualification, including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis management.
- Thorough knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards, and relevant regulations.

We are a privately owned boutique long day care centre, providing care for children aged six (6) weeks to six (6) years. Our centre operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. It is designed to offer the highest possible standard of care and education for children.
