Salary: AUD 77,000 per annum + superannuation

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Website Designer to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will lead the design of website interfaces and digital assets, with a strong emphasis on user experience, responsive layouts, and brand consistency. You will work directly with clients, the Creative Director, and developers to bring design concepts to life.

Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in web design and digital design.

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Design, Web Design, or a related creative field (Master’s preferred).

Advanced expertise in Figma (frameworks, prototyping, and developer-ready briefs).

High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and web standards.

Proven ability to collaborate with developers to ensure accurate and responsive implementation of designs.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Strong portfolio showcasing websites, digital interfaces, and cross-platform assets.

Task & responsibilities

Design and prototype user-friendly website interfaces, focusing on clear navigation, responsive design, and tailored audience engagement.

Translate client briefs into website design concepts and prepare detailed design documentation for development handover.

Collaborate with developers to review and refine website builds, ensuring visual accuracy and cross-platform compatibility.

Create digital-first assets for websites, social media, presentations, and campaigns, maintaining a consistent visual identity.

Ensure ALT Agency’s brand integrity across all digital touchpoints.

Conduct research into emerging digital design trends and technologies to enhance agency practices.

Manage web design projects end-to-end, coordinating with the Creative Director and clients.

Provide occasional design support for print collateral, where relevant to campaigns.

Qualification & experience
