About the role

Reporting to the Manager Technology and Data Enablement, the Digital Strategy and Delivery Manager is a leadership role responsible for shaping GMW’s enterprise technology direction and leading the delivery of critical digital and technology initiatives across the organisation. 

This role sits at the centre of GMW’s technology transformation, connecting strategic intent with coordinated delivery across cyber security, operational technology, network communications, infrastructure, data, AI and digital enablement initiatives. 

This is not a purely strategic or operational role — it requires a leader who can move confidently between long-term planning and hands-on delivery. You will provide governance, prioritisation and leadership across a diverse portfolio, ensuring investments deliver measurable outcomes for the business and the communities GMW serves.

What you will do

Strategy and Leadership
Lead the development and execution of GMW’s enterprise digital and technology strategy, establishing clear roadmaps, priorities and investment plans aligned to organisational outcomes.

Strategic Delivery
Coordinate and drive the delivery of complex, interdependent technology initiatives, ensuring risks, dependencies and change impacts are actively managed.

Governance and Planning
Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks, standards and planning processes to support informed decision-making and effective investment prioritisation. 

Portfolio Oversight
Provide oversight of the technology portfolio including prioritisation, financial management, reporting, risk and benefits realisation to ensure successful outcomes. 

Innovation, Data and AI
Identify and progress emerging technology opportunities, including data and AI use cases, translating innovation into practical, governed initiatives that deliver value. 

Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners to align technology delivery with business and operational needs. 

Leadership and Capability
Develop and lead a high-performing, collaborative team, building capability across strategic delivery streams and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise technology strategy and complex delivery portfolios

• Strong capability across strategy development, governance, planning and program delivery

• Experience working across areas such as cyber security, operational technology, infrastructure, networks, data, AI or enterprise applications

• Highly developed leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

• Strong commercial, financial and vendor management capability

• A strategic and delivery-focused mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in complex and evolving environments

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Project Management or a related discipline (desirable)
