Salary: $76515 – $86,000 plus superannuation (depending on qualifications and experience)

About Us

Mini Miracles Early Learning Centre (Mini Miracles) is a small and family-focused early learning centre located in Bruce, ACT. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports the learning and development of children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) will report directly to the Centre Director and will be responsible for the program and curriculum of the relevant educational space. The ECT will act in accordance with Mini Miracles policies and procedures, National Quality Framework any other relevant Regulatory and/or funding bodies.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement educational programs in accordance with the EYLF 
• Record management and documentation of curriculum and children’s learning. 
• Editing and uploading the relevant pieces of educational documentation, ensuring that they meet the philosophy, mission and goals of the organisation and service.
• Supervision of educators and assistance where necessary.
• Training and mentoring of educators where necessary.
• Providing formal and informal high-level written communication to all key stakeholders.
• Representation of Mini Miracles Early Learning Centre at events as directed by the Centre Director or other senior Management.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment 
• Ensure compliance with National Quality Framework (NQF) standards and centre policies 
• Working on ACT educational programs like 3-year-old preschool. 
• Work collaboratively with educators and management to support continuous improvement 

Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood developmental theories.
• Demonstrated knowledge of behaviour guidance strategies. 
• Demonstrated experience in managing Educators.
• Demonstrated experience working as an Educator in an Early Childhood service.
• Demonstrate planning experience in developing child curriculum, activities and children’s learning
• A solid understanding of the NQS, NQF and child protection requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and overseeing holistic curriculums.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office and other software/programs
• Min one plus years of relevant work experience as ECT

Qualification & experience

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification 
• Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration for ACT (or eligibility to obtain) 
• Current Child protection and child safe trainings
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain) 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment 
• Full Working Rights - This is a full-time position (5 days, working )
