About you

YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE handling, transporting and placing commercial joinery for Tier 1 Joinery Subcontractors on construction sites.

We are seeking experienced Joinery Site Labourers to join our installation team on a major EBA project in Melbourne.

This role is based on a large-scale 700 apartment development and offers long-term stable work with an established commercial joinery contractor.

This is not a general labouring position. Applicants must have previous experience working with finished commercial joinery products and understand the care, handling and placement requirements associated with high-rise residential construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking finished joinery from the loading zone to apartment levels via Alimak.

• Placing joinery into the correct apartments and rooms in accordance with installation sequences.

• Carrying and staging joinery and materials based on installation requirements.

• Unpacking, checking and preparing joinery for installation teams.

• Assisting with site logistics and material movement throughout the project.

• Updating company tracking software upon placement of joinery.

• Following directions from supervisors and leading hands.

• Assisting installers and site teams as required.

• Contributing to keeping installation works on program and maintaining production targets.

• Maintaining safe, clean and organised work areas.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience handling and placing commercial joinery on construction projects.

• Previous experience working for a commercial joinery contractor.

• White Card.

• Current Driver's Licence.

• Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting.

• Strong awareness of site safety requirements.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to work within a team environment.

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling.
