About the role

Wonderkids Early Learning Centre in Walkerston, QLD is seeking an experienced Educator or Lead Educator to join our passionate team. This part-time role is an opportunity to work in an amazing established early learning service and contribute to providing high-quality care and education to the children in our community.

What you'll be doing

• Plan and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's development

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

• Ensure a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all children

• Conduct observations and maintain accurate records to inform individualised learning plans

• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to deliver the service's educational program

• Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Relevant early childhood education qualification: Preferably a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and care or studying towards an ACECQA approved qualification.

• Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within the childcare and/or outside school hours care sector

• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

• Passion for supporting children's learning and development through play-based pedagogy

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team

• Current first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma management qualifications

• Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)

• Current Australian work authorisation required at the time of application
