About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. In this full-time position, you'll take ownership of end-to-end electrical design across a diverse range of projects. From initial concept and system architecture through to factory and site acceptance testing, while working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

Electrical & Automation Design Engineering

  • Deliver detailed electrical designs across projects, including equipment selection, circuit design, and system architecture appropriate to project scope and complexity.

  • Perform and document electrical design calculations in accordance with applicable standards and codes.

  • Collaborate closely with the engineering manager to define and meet design objectives, flagging risks or scope changes proactively.

  • Produce a full suite of electrical drawings including wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, loop diagrams, and control schematics.

  • Participate in client-facing HAZOPs, design reviews, site meetings, and plant/process design sessions, contributing technical expertise and ensuring design intent is maintained.

  • Ensure all design outputs comply with relevant Australian Standards, industry codes, and project-specific requirements.

  • Identify and resolve design and technical problems in a timely manner, escalating where appropriate to minimise impact on project delivery.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), ensuring all systems perform to specification before handover.'

Electrical Systems, Project Installation & Servicing

  • Conduct thorough site testing

  • Support operations and field service staff in resolving technical issues

  • Ensure time entries and labour hours are recorded accurately and submitted on time.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, Electrical Engineer who thrives in a hands-on role and excels in both independent and team-based environments. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design, including the production of wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, loop diagrams, and control schematics.

  • Proficiency in electrical design software and CAD tools.

  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements applicable to electrical systems design.

  • Experience with automation and control systems, including PLC and SCADA platforms (Allen Bradley or similar preferred).

  • Exposure to or experience with HAZOPs, design reviews, and client-facing technical sessions.

  • Experience coordinating or participating in FAT and SAT processes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, project, and client teams.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities, flag risks early, and drive tasks through to completion.
