Detector Inspector started in 2005 when our two founders, Jason and Jordan, recognised an opportunity to make a difference - we could help make homes safer for renters and make safety compliance easier for property managers.

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced electrical contractor for 1 to 2 days per week to carry out maintenance and testing of 240V smoke detectors, and test and replace RCDs in residential properties. Work is primarily located in Canberra with travel to surrounding areas as required. 

You will start your day from home to your first appointment, using our in-house built app to track your bookings an record all the relevant job information. Each inspection can vary between 10-30 minutes to ensure a property is safe and compliant, whilst travel time between appointments can vary

• Electrical Contractors licence

• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel

• Professional presentation and self-motivated

• Strong customer and safety focus

• Familiar with smart phones applications

Please note: Safety comes first at Detector Inspector, as a pre-requisite candidates will be required to complete a National Police Clearance and a Pre-employment Physical Assessment. 

• $50 per hour leasing company car or $60 per hour in own vehicle
