ESTIMATOR / PROJECT ESTIMATOR

About the Role

Tech Air Solutions & Electrical Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Estimator to join our growing team based in Tuggerah NSW.

This full-time position plays a key role within our business, working across high-end residential, commercial, air conditioning, electrical and mechanical projects throughout the Central Coast, Newcastle & Sydney regions.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project documentation, liaising with suppliers and builders, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from tender through to completion.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reviewing project plans, specifications and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Analysing and forecasting material, labour and equipment costs
• Preparing HVAC, electrical and mechanical estimates and quotations
• Liaising with builders, suppliers, subcontractors and project managers
• Conducting take-offs and scope reviews from architectural and engineering plans
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions
• Preparing and presenting professional bid proposals and quotations
• Assisting with procurement, project scheduling and budgeting
• Monitoring project costs and variations throughout construction
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Staying up to date with industry standards, regulations and pricing trends

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years experience in estimating within the construction, HVAC, mechanical or electrical industry
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Experience using estimating software and systems such as Excel, ServiceM8, SimPRO or similar
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, labour and equipment pricing
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Current Australian driver’s licence preferred
