Brass Monkeys cafe located at 252 Main Road, Blackwood, Adelaide is seeking an experienced cook to join its growing team, responsible for preparing, cooking , and presenting high quality dishes in a busy commercial kitchen environment.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present menu dishes in accordance with standard recipes and instructions provided by the Head Chef and Chefs.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Perform daily food preparation duties including working station setting, cooking and plating to support efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
• Work under the supervision of head chef and chefs, cooperating with other kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and timely service.
• Assist with food storage, stock handling and minimising food waste, ensuring efficient use of kitchen resources.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal kitchen procedures.

Qualification & experience

• Formal qualification of Certificate IV or above in cookery
• At least 1 year experience in cooking roles in commercial kitchen
• Proven ability to follow directions and complete tasks with high standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
