The Opportunity

We’re looking for a committed and community-driven Facilities Manager to join PBM. This is a dynamic on-site role based near Wilton, with responsibility across a mixed portfolio including residential and commercial assets. You’ll act in the best interests of the Community Association, delivering professional, transparent and efficient facilities management services.

This is not just about operations - it’s about building trust, fostering harmonious relationships, and ensuring the communities you manage are safe, compliant and thriving.

You’ll be the “face” of PBM onsite, liaising closely with Association Committees, residents, strata managers and contractors.

OVERVIEW

Our company is growing, and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us and stay for the long haul. We currently have a full-time Facilities Manager position available.

Location: Wilton, NSW – Monday to Friday .

Mobile phone and company computers included.

We are looking for a trustworthy and reliable person who can communicate effectively with onsite residents, contractors and member of the committee. Must be well presented with great interpersonal skills. We are also looking for an approachable and friendly person to help build strong relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day facilities and community operations, maintaining accurate registers, records, and asset logs.

  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring scopes are delivered to standard, invoices approved, and compliance documentation kept current.

  • Manage routine and preventative maintenance programs, including fire safety, lifts, cleaning, landscaping, and defect rectification.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the community scheme, plant, equipment, and common property to monitor essential services, WHS, contractor performance, and overall presentation.

  • Ensure WHS and statutory compliance by monitoring risks, updating certifications, and reporting issues promptly.

  • Build strong relationships with committees, strata managers, lot owners, and service providers, supporting harmonious community outcomes.

  • Provide regular reports and attend committee meetings to update on maintenance, compliance, and contractor performance.

  • Monitor utilities and recommend strategies for cost efficiency and sustainability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in building or facilities management, ideally with exposure to community associations or strata environments.

  • Appropriate licences, qualifications, and a strong understanding of WHS practices, Australian Standards, and relevant legislation.

  • Proven ability in defect rectification, remedial works, and contractor supervision, including service agreements and budget monitoring.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prepare and deliver accurate documentation, reports, and annual planners for committees.

  • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to act promptly, clearly, and transparently with all stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to work autonomously while meeting reporting schedules.

  • A collaborative, community-focused mindset that fosters harmonious relationships with Association Committees, strata managers, residents, and contractors.

  • Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
