About the role and where you will be working:

Join our Community Mental Health team as a Family & Carer Recovery Partner, supporting families and carers of people living with mental health challenges and disabilities.

In this rewarding, community-based role, you’ll provide practical guidance, emotional support, and advocacy. Helping carers navigate complex systems, build confidence, and actively contribute to recovery journeys. Working within a recovery-oriented framework, you’ll collaborate with clients, carers, and service providers to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Provide tailored, non-clinical support to families and carers of people with mental health challenges
  • Offer education, guidance, and system navigation to build carer confidence and wellbeing
  • Support carer involvement in recovery planning, where appropriate
  • Advocate for family-inclusive, recovery-oriented practices across services
  • Assist carers to navigate complex systems, including mental health and NDIS supports
  • Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and contribute to recovery outcomes
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and support referral pathways

About you:

  • Experience in mental health, disability, or community services
  • Confident working independently and managing a varied caseload

  • Committed to person-centred, recovery-oriented practice

To be considered for this role you’ll need:

  • Certificate III (or higher) in Mental Health or a related field
  • Experience supporting people with mental health conditions or psychosocial disability
  • Strong understanding of recovery-oriented, person-centred practice
  • Ability to engage and build rapport with individuals and families in complex situations
  • Confident working autonomously and managing a dynamic caseload
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with attention to detail
  • Required compliance: NDIS Screening, Police Clearance, Driver’s Licence, First Aid & vaccinations
