We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Planner to oversee maintenance operations across our broadacre farming, poultry, and machinery operations. This is a varied role suited to someone practical, organised, and experienced in agricultural maintenance and problem-solving.
Based across multiple farm sites, the role is responsible for coordinating and completing maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of equipment, infrastructure, and facilities.
The Maintenance Planner’s tasks are as follow:
- Maintain and manage a schedule of all equipment and execute maintenance across cropping, poultry and sheep enterprises in accordance with maintenance schedule
- Coordinate shutdowns and rotation of equipment between enterprises to ensure efficient operations and essential maintenance are attended to
- Provide technical assistance and providing support to all maintenance activities
- Directing work undertaken by all internal and external technicians and mechanics
- Ensure workshops are stocked appropriately with spare parts needed, and liaising with external providers and suppliers in accordance with maintenance needs
- Project manage any construction and structural work required
- Maintaining accurate records, including collating all relevant manuals and documents for each equipment across the enterprises
- Working closely with Managers across cropping, poultry and sheep enterprises, and Farm Owners to ensure least amount production downtime
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in farm or agricultural maintenance
- Has strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
- Is confident working independently and managing priorities
- Has experience with machinery, fabrication, or welding (preferred)
- Is organised, proactive, and reliable
- Holds a current driver’s licence
- Has good communication skills and works well with a team
- Forklift, HR, or other machinery tickets are advantageous
