Task & responsibilities
- Carrying out routine manual tasks across different farm production areas as directed.
- Assisting with basic animal care, including feeding, watering, moving animals between yards or paddocks, and monitoring general wellbeing.
- Helping with general crop and pasture tasks such as basic planting, watering, and manual harvesting activities.
- Performing mixed seasonal labour tasks depending on operational needs, including general livestock handling, basic crop work, and general farm support duties.
- Using simple farm tools and small equipment (e.g., hand tools, wheelbarrows, basic pumps).
- Assisting with basic operation of farm vehicles under supervision (e.g., utility vehicles, small tractors for simple tasks only).
- Reporting equipment faults and performing simple cleaning and upkeep.
- Assisting with general property maintenance such as clearing debris, repairing simple fencing, cleaning sheds, and maintaining yards.
- Supporting upkeep of water systems by checking troughs, clearing minor blockages, and reporting issues requiring further attention.
- Helping maintain storage areas, workspaces, and general farm facilities to ensure safe and organised operations.
- Observing and reporting issues related to animal welfare, crop condition, water supply, or farm infrastructure.
- Recording basic information such as feed usage, supply levels, and simple farm activity logs.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Performing varied manual tasks as required across different production areas.
- Assisting supervisors with ad‑hoc duties that support overall farm operations.
Qualification & experience
High School or Certificate l
At least 1 year of full-time work experience
Ability to work outdoors in all weather
Physical strength and stamina for lifting, walking long distances, and manual tasks
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Basic problem‑solving and observation skills
