The Opportunity

We are currently seeking skilled and safety-conscious Field Service Hose Technicians to join our hardworking and dedicated team, working on a 7-on / 7-off roster servicing mine sites throughout the Gunnedah Basin. This role is offered on a FIFO or DIDO basis, with accommodation and travel provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform onsite hydraulic hose removal, fabrication and installation

• Respond to breakdowns and provide preventative maintenance on mining equipment

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic hose and fluid transfer systems

• Maintain, stock and operate a fully equipped mobile workshop (including hose crimpers and consumables)

• Ensure accurate record keeping, stock management and changeover documentation

• Deliver excellent customer service and technical support in the field

• Promote and uphold Hoses24’s safety and environmental procedures on all jobs
  

What You’ll Bring

• Mechanical aptitude and experience in hydraulic hose and fittings (essential)

• Certificate III in Engineering – Diesel Fitter/Mechanic/Hydraulics (preferred but not essential)

• AURTTA012 – Fabricate and Install Fluid Power Hose Assemblies (preferred but not essential)

• Previous experience in mining, heavy industry, or field-based work (highly regarded)

• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills in high pressure environments

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong safety focus and ability to follow procedures

• A positive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to safety and teamwork

• Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (highly regarded)

• Current manual Driver’s Licence (MR/HR essential)

• Successful completion of inductions, site specific medicals and drug and alcohol testing are a requirement of this role
