About the role  
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team, based in either Brisbane or the Gold Coast. You'll be working alongside an experienced team of Fire Engineers on a wide range of projects across many industries. You'll have the opportunity to be involved from concept, through detailed design and construction monitoring of these projects.  
This role will also see you involved in: 

• Undertaking performance and prescriptive based fire engineering design covering all aspects of fire safety which includes fire and smoke modelling, egress analysis, suppression, alarm and detection, external fire spread and fire safety management. 
• Ensuring fire engineering designs are in keeping with (but not restricted by) relevant industry codes, standards and Holmes’s overarching philosophy of encouraging performance-based solutions, ensuring that clients expectations are not only met, but exceeded. 
• Developing and maintain positive relationships with clients and local authorities on a range of projects. 

About You  
We’re looking for experienced fire engineers who are degree/masters qualified in Fire Engineering and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire engineering. Ideally, you’ll also have prior experience with performance-based design and have worked on large and complex projects. Your excellent technical skills will be matched by your ability to build meaningful client relationships, and you’ll be a confident communicator with the willingness to help out at every level.
