We are looking for a dedicated Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of transport logistics.

Task & responsibilities
- Organizing the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel
- Liaising with clients to determine requirements and providing customers with advice and information regarding vehicles, obligations and handling complaints
- Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules
- Arranging collection and delivery of vehicles
- Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports
- Oversee the hiring and training of drivers, and ensure that they are properly qualified and certified
- Ensure that all drivers and operators have the correct, up to date qualification
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Schedule daily and weekly fleet rosters
- Track orders using functional systems (e.g. tracking software)
- Monitor the performance of the transport fleet and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure daily and weekly documents are properly filed
- Report on maintenance and repair needs for vehicles and equipment
- Research and suggest cost-effective methods
- Conduct regular safety audits on trucks and agitators
- Organize training sessions for employees (e.g., proper use of Agitators, Safetyequipment’s and handling of hazardous
- Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Stay up to date with safety regulations, the latest technologies and trends in transport industry.
Qualification & experience
- Diploma in Business or Leadership Management
- Proven work experience as a Fleet Manager, Transportation Manager, or similar role for 1-2 years
- Solid knowledge of supply and fleet management
- Experience preparing and tracking vehicles
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and train staff
