About the role

Mercuri Trading is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Broadmeadows, Victoria. This position is offering full / part time or casual would also suit semi retired person along with offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of forklifts, ensuring they are in safe and optimal working condition.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting scheduled servicing and maintenance on forklifts

2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts

3. Performing safety inspections and identifying any potential problems

4. Maintaining detailed records of all repairs and maintenance work

5. Providing advice and support to the operations team on forklift performance and capabilities

6. Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and industry regulations

What we're looking for

1. Relevant trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a similar field

2. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Forklift Mechanic or in a similar role

3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety

5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

6. Good communication and customer service skills
