We are seeking a Hairdresser who can provide professional hair cutting, colouring, styling and beauty services while delivering exceptional customer service in our Salon. Responsibilities include consulting with clients, maintaining salon hygiene standards, recommending hair care products, and performing treatments such as colouring, blow-drying, straightening and styling in line with current trends and client preferences.

Task & responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of salon workstations and ensure all tools and equipment, including scissors, combs and styling instruments, are properly sanitised in accordance with salon health and safety standards.
• Consult with clients to assess hair type, facial features and styling preferences, and provide recommendations on suitable hairstyles, hair treatments and beauty services.
• Cut, trim, layer and shape hair or hairpieces using scissors, clippers, razors, trimmers and other hairdressing tools according to client requirements and current salon trends.
• Perform hair colouring services including bleaching, tinting, dyeing and highlighting using professional salon products and application techniques.
• Shampoo, condition, rinse and dry hair, scalp and hairpieces using specialised hair care products and treatments.
• Apply straightening, setting, waving and curling solutions, and style hair using rollers, curlers, hot combs, curling irons and other styling equipment.
• Comb, brush, set and finish hairstyles using sprays, styling products and hairdressing techniques to achieve the desired appearance.
• Schedule and manage client appointments while maintaining professional customer service standards within the salon environment.
• Maintain and update client records, including details of beauty and hair services provided, products used and customer preferences.
• Process client payments and operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently.
• Promote, recommend and demonstrate the use of hair care products, cosmetics, lotions and beauty treatments to clients.
• Develop and implement new hairstyling methods, beauty treatments and salon techniques in line with current industry trends.
• Provide eyebrow shaping and facial hair removal services using waxing, tweezing, depilatory creams, electrolysis and related beauty techniques.
• Identify scalp or hair conditions and administer appropriate therapeutic treatments, while advising clients to seek medical attention for chronic or contagious scalp conditions where necessary.
• Massage and treat the scalp for hygienic, relaxation and remedial purposes using hands, fingers or specialised vibrating equipment.
• Shave, trim and shape beards and moustaches in accordance with client preferences and grooming standards.
• Supervise, support and train junior hairstylists, salon assistants and other salon staff to maintain professional service standards.
• Perform facial beauty treatments using specialised creams, lotions and skincare compounds to enhance and restore the client’s natural appearance.
• Clean, shape and polish fingernails and toenails using manicure and pedicure tools, nail polish and related beauty products.
• Apply and maintain artificial fingernails and nail enhancements in accordance with salon procedures and client requirements.
• Attach, style and dress wigs and hairpieces on clients or model heads according to instructions, sketches, photographs or style samples.

Qualification & experience

Certificate 3 in Hair dressing'

At least 1-2 years of work experience as hair dresser

A strong desire to learn, a great attitude, and a commitment to the hairdressingprofession.
