Mr Wabi Pty Ltd t/as Mr Wabi is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to join our busy Asian Fusion restaurant located in the heart of Brisbane CBD. Benefits

Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 plus superannuation

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

•    Lead and manage kitchen operations in a high-volume restaurant environment

•    Prepare and cook high-quality Asian Fusion dishes

•    Develop and design creative menu items in line with business requirements

•    Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff

•    Manage food preparation, stock control and ordering

•    Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

•    Monitor labour and food costs in line with business budgets

•    Maintain consistency and quality during busy service periods

Qualification & experience

•    Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management or at least 3 years of relevant experience to substitute formal qualifications

•    Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant

•    Wok cooking experience is essential

•    Experience in Asian Fusion cuisine is highly regarded

•    Strong leadership and team management skills

•    Ability to work efficiently under pressure

•    Excellent communication and organisational skills

•    Sound understanding of food safety requirements

•    Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
