About the role
LGC has grown rapidly over the last 12 years to become WA's largest integrated traffic management, rail services and equipment hire business. To support our growth, we are seeking a talented HSEQ Business Partner to join our team at LGC based in our modern facilities in Midvale, WA. This critical full-time role will be responsible for providing strategic health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) guidance and support to our organisation. As the HSEQ Business Partner, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our operations are conducted safely and in compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. LGC is currently accredited ISO 9001 and 45001.
What you'll be doing
Developing, implementing and continuously improving HSEQ management systems, policies, procedures and training programs
Conducting site inspections, audits and investigations to identify and mitigate risks
Providing expert advice and support to operational leaders and their teams on all HSEQ matters
Driving a strong safety culture and championing best practice HSEQ standards
Monitoring and reporting on HSEQ performance metrics and trends
Driving audit compliance with current and future ISO accreditations
Owning quality systems and document control processes
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
Collaborating with stakeholders to continually improve HSEQ outcomes
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science) Minimum Diploma level.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HSEQ role, ideally within the construction or infrastructure industry
Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice
Familiarity with ISO 9001/45001/14001 frameworks and integrated management systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving mindset and the ability to deliver strategic outcomes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to effectively lead, train and mentor HSEQ Coordinator
