About the Research Office
As part of the Research Division, the Research Office enables the delivery of a unified, strategic and proactive research support ecosystem that empowers researchers at all career stages, disciplines and faculties to navigate the full research lifecycle-from ideation through to translation and impact.
The Research Office delivers expert partnering and centralised advisory services, connecting researchers, faculty leaders and divisions with the advice, resources and collaborators needed to deliver high-value, globally impactful research.
Working in close partnership with Faculties and Divisions, the Research Office plays a key role in advancing UTS's research excellence, visibility and strategic impact.
About the role
The Indigenous Research Manager is responsible for supporting Indigenous research (research undertaken by Indigenous researchers, research undertaken with Indigenous communities, and research on Indigenous topics) across UTS. The Manager will work in close collaboration with UTS' Indigenous researchers, UTS researchers working on Indigenous topics and the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research. The role ensures that researchers are well positioned and have the capabilities to undertake the research, and that the research is both informed by and beneficial to Indigenous communities, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment for Indigenous research at UTS. The role will also support a broader understanding by UTS researchers of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), Indigenous research ethics, Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles and respectful approaches to Indigenous Knowledge systems in research.

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $143,080 to $149,894 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
