MOTOR MECHANIC – Fluent Japanese and English Speaking

HBL Trading Pty Ltd is looking for a professional Japanese speaking motor mechanic to join our team.
We are looking for a self- motivated, English and Japanese speaking, articulate person to fill the role of motor mechanic within our Vehicle Compliance Centre.
Your Role
• comply newly imported Japanese vehicles
• detecting and diagnosing faults in Japanese engines and parts
• dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts in native Japanese assembled vehicles
• repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to Japanese service manuals as needed
• performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure vehicle compliance to ROVER model report standards
• reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
• testing and adjusting mechanical parts to ensure model report scopes are met
• diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
• may inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
About you
• Be a qualified motor mechanic, focusing on directly imported Japanese vehicles;
• Hold Certificate III in Light Vehicle;
• Speak fluent Japanese and English
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a professional motor mechanic;
• A high level of attention to detail;
• Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools;
• Experience with problem-solving and diagnostic skills;
• Basic computer literacy;
• Have the ability to work independently and unsupervised, within established guidelines and parameters;
