Task & responsibilities
- Plan and develop seasonal menus in collaboration with the Head Chef or independently as required
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Oversee inventory management and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment
- Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and manage kitchen supplies effectively
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are cleaned, maintained, and used safely
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to junior kitchen staff
Qualification & experience
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Chef or in similar role
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or higher in similar discipline
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Food safety and hygiene certification
