We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to support the ongoing operation of our industrial laundry facility. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous production across a fast-paced environment.

Task & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery
- Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production
- Ensure all planned maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements
- Create, prioritize, and manage work orders in the maintenance management system
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of all maintenance activities
- Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and procure necessary parts, tools, and materials for maintenance activities
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required items
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend machinery lifespan
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities
- Work closely with maintenance technicians to ensure clarity on planned tasks and priorities
- Communicate effectively with operations, engineering, and management teams
- Provide training and support to maintenance staff as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including costs and downtime
- Generate reports on maintenance performance and KPIs
- Analyse data to identify trends and recommend improvements
Qualification & experience
Qualifications
- AQF Certificate IV, Diploma, or higher qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Maintenance Planning, or related field
OR
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in maintenance planning within an industrial environment
Skills
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning principles, asset management, tools, and equipment
- Ability to develop and manage maintenance schedules and workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in identifying equipment issues
- Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
