The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of our equipment and maintenance operations.

You’ll lead a skilled team, champion continuous improvement, and keep production running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the maintenance team and ensuring effective delivery of preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities
• Managing work requests, prioritising efficiently, and minimising downtime
• Responding to breakdowns and call outs, providing hands‑on technical support when needed
• Identifying maintenance trends and recommending improvements to boost plant reliability
• Guiding and supervising contractors to ensure safe, compliant, high‑quality work
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives, RCA activities, and 5S implementation
• Reviewing work practices and contributing new ideas for efficiency and reliability
• Preparing daily shift reports to ensure visibility, accountability, and strong communication across the site

What You Bring

You’re a confident leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and knows how to bring out the best in a team. You stay calm under pressure, think ahead, and enjoy solving problems at the source.

You’ll also bring:

• A trade qualification in mechanical or electrical maintenance
• Leadership or supervisory experience in maintenance
• Experience using a CMMS (SAP highly regarded)
• Strong troubleshooting, decision‑making, and communication skills
• Contractor management experience

Availability for weekend work and after-hours call outs

• A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• FMCG or food manufacturing experience (advantageous but not essential)
