About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Facilities, in this key support position, you will be responsible for the efficient management of workshop stores, ensuring technicians have the right parts and tools when they need them. This role will be responsible for the effective receipt, storage, control, and issue of maintenance parts, tools, and consumables to support workshop and site maintenance activities. The role ensures inventory accuracy, availability of critical spares, and compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming maintenance parts, materials, and equipment.

• Accurately store items in designated locations in accordance with safe storage practices.

• Issue spare parts, tools, and consumables to maintenance personnel as required.

• Maintain accurate stock records using Mex systems.

• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions where required.

• Identify slow‑moving, obsolete, or critical stock and report to the General Manager Facilities.

• Support maintenance technicians by ensuring timely availability of parts and tools.

• Prepare kits for planned maintenance, shutdowns, and major repairs.

• Coordinate with maintenance planner and supervisors regarding upcoming work.

• Assist with basic workshop housekeeping and organisation.

• Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and legislation.

• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, hazardous materials, and waste.

• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe store and workshop areas.

• Maintain accurate documentation including delivery dockets, invoices, and stock records.

• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments regarding orders and deliveries.

• Report damaged, incorrect, or defective goods and follow up on corrective actions.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of stores and inventory processes.

About You

• Previous experience as a Storeperson, workshop storeman, or similar role

• Strong organisational and stock control skills

• Basic mechanical or maintenance understanding (highly desirable)

• Competent with computers, stock systems, and paperwork

• Physically capable and safety‑focused

• A team player with good communication skills
