In this rewarding role, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support to elderly clients in their homes and local communities. Your focus will be on promoting independence, preserving dignity, and enhancing overall quality of life.

As a vital part of our clients' daily lives, your responsibilities may include:

• Transport to appointments or social activities
• Assistance with Personal care
• Welfare Checks; offering emotional support
• Meal preparation and light housework
• Medication assistance
• Shopping and companionship
• Respite

About You

Essential Requirements & Attributes:

• Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent Aged Care Qualification (industry experience preferred
• A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A current or willingness to obtain: Police Check & Working with Children Check (WCC)
• You're empathetic, patient, and a strong communicator
• Self-motivated, reliable, and thrive in a supportive team environment
• NSW Driver License and a Certified Safe Driving Record (acquired through Service NSW)
• A reliable, well-presented vehicle with comprehensive insurance cover
• ADSSI strongly encourages all employees to stay current with COVID-19 vaccinations as recommended by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, or NSW Health.
• Evidence of protection against Diphtheria, Measles, Hepatitis B, Pertussis, Mumps, Varicella, Tetanus, Rubella, (Influenza is highly recommended)
• As part of the application process, you will be required to undergo comprehensive pre-employment screening check.
