We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and highly motivated individual to join our small and close-knit team supporting a busy orthopaedic surgeon’s specialist private practice based in Murdoch.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a boutique surgical practice that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care and a high standard of service within a warm and supportive environment.

This part-time role requires availability for five days per fortnight, with some flexibility around working days; however, Fridays are essential. Availability to assist with holiday leave coverage is also highly desirable.

You will play an important role in the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of our specialist orthopaedic practice while working alongside a friendly and supportive team that values kindness, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
• Be a key point of contact for patients, referrers, and allied health professionals via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Welcome patients and assist with clinic flow to ensure a positive patient experience
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, imaging, and patient enquiries
• Liaise professionally with patients, hospitals, referrers, and medical staff
• Perform general administrative duties including scanning, correspondence, filing, and data entry

The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence using Microsoft Office (experience with Genie software highly regarded)
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and professional phone manner
• Previous medical or allied health administration experience (desirable but not essential)

We value attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn just as highly as previous experience, and training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate.

This role would suit someone seeking a long-term opportunity within a supportive, professional, and patient-focused specialist practice.

If you are looking to join a welcoming team and further develop your skills within a professional private practice, we would love to hear from you!

To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter via SEEK outlining your experience and why you would be a great fit for our team.

Applications without a cover letter will not be considered. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
