Membership & Administration Coordinator (Casual – 20 Hours per Week)
Merewether Golf Club – Newcastle NSW

Merewether Golf Club is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Membership & Administration Coordinator. This casual position (20 hours per week) is a key support role within the club, responsible for assisting with daily administration while helping deliver a high level of service and engagement for our members.

Working closely with management, this role will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the club while playing an important part in membership communication, retention, and engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Club Administration

  • Daily office administration and operational support

  • Balancing the safe and reconciling tills

  • Answering phone calls and responding to email enquiries

  • Handling membership enquiries and general club enquiries

  • Administrative support for management and club activities

  • Assisting with club communications, printing materials, and organising trophies and events

  • Liaising with caterers and other suppliers as required

  • Supporting the efficient operation of all club administration functions

Membership Coordination

  • Processing new memberships and managing membership records

  • Responding to membership enquiries and assisting prospective members

  • Managing member communications and engagement initiatives

  • Following up rejected or overdue membership payments

  • Monitoring member participation and reporting trends

  • Assisting with membership campaigns and retention initiatives

About You

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

  • Friendly and professional communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Experience in administration, customer service, or club operations preferred

  • Interest in sport, hospitality, or the golf industry is advantageous
