About the role.
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll take ownership of McCain’s Foodservice distributor channel across Australia – leading a national team and delivering against key commercial outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Foodservice, you’ll play a critical role as a trusted partner in shaping strategy, strengthening key distributor relationships, and driving performance across a complex national network. You’ll step into a fast-moving environment with the opportunity to make an immediate impact and bring fresh thinking to how we grow the channel.
What you’ll be doing.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing national team across account and distributor management
Set and execute the national strategy for our Foodservice distributor network
Take full ownership of national performance, delivering against volume, sales and profitability targets
Build and strengthen senior relationships with key national and state distributor partners
Lead commercial negotiations across trading terms and promotional activity
Manage two key national customer accounts alongside your leadership responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, driving accurate forecasting and alignment across the business
Lead performance tracking, identify risks and opportunities, and course-correct where needed
Identify growth opportunities and bring new ideas to unlock value across the channel
Partner cross-functionally to deliver strong commercial outcomes
Represent the Foodservice function as a senior leader within the broader business
What you’ll need to be successful.
Proven experience leading and developing teams
Demonstrated experience managing Foodservice customers at a national level (essential)
Strong track record of owning and delivering commercial outcomes (sales, growth, profitability)
Experience with end-to-end S&OP
Strong financial acumen, including exposure to P&L ownership, trade investment, and cost control
Experience operating in complex environments, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
Confidence building and influencing relationships at a senior level
Strong negotiation capability with experience managing commercial discussions
Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn insights into action
A mindset that challenges the status quo and looks for better ways of doing things
About the team.
You’ll be part of our Foodservice Australia team, leading a national structure that includes a National Account Manager, State Distributor Managers, and a Distribution Support Manager. This role plays a key part in shaping our Foodservice growth strategy and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
