Task & responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and telecommunications systems.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot faults, and implement corrective measures to minimise downtime.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and customer access network devices to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Administer network security controls, including access management, patching, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Support the deployment and optimisation of high-performance customer access networks and future-ready infrastructure.
• Maintain network documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
• Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning to support business growth and regional expansion.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with field engineers and project teams during network rollouts and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, service level agreements, and cybersecurity best practices.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor or higher degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs), and network security principles.

• Experience with telecommunications access networks, fibre infrastructure, or wireless broadband technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking, virtualisation, and high-availability network design.
