As our pipeline grows, we are looking for an organised, tech-savvy Office & Accounts Assistant to keep our back-office running like clockwork.
The RoleThis isn't just a basic data-entry job. You will be the engine room of our project administration, ensuring our trades, suppliers, and clients are perfectly aligned. You will work closely with the management team to handle day-to-day accounts, supplier bills and client invoices, and project tracking.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & Receivable: Processing supplier invoices, matching progress claims, and managing bills using Xero.
Project Cost Tracking: Entering and managing purchase orders, variations, and bills within Buildertrend to ensure accurate job costing.
System Integration: Ensuring data flows correctly between our project management software and accounting software.
General Administration: Answering phone inquiries, managing emails, and supporting our site supervisors with administrative tasks.
Construction Industry Experience: A solid understanding of progress claims, retention, and how residential building workflows operate (highly desirable).
Tech-Savvy: Proven experience using Xero and Buildertrend (or similar construction software like Procore/CoConstruct).
Attention to Detail: You spot an incorrect invoice amount from a mile away and care about accurate job-costing.
Great Communication: A friendly, professional phone manner and the confidence to follow up with subcontractors and clients.
Local Focus: Reliable transport and proximity to our Padstow office.
