About the role:
Two unique leadership opportunities are available for a Person in Charge within our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team at Lauderdale and Sorell . We are seeking experienced and responsible educators to support the program in a role where you will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, participate in the bus run, and have allocated program planning time. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced educator to take the next step in their career.
We are seeking Educators who hold a Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care; however, we encourage applications from those who are experienced within the OSHC space and encourage opportunities for professional development.
You will work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Shifts will be at least 6:30 - 9:30 am Monday to Friday, and 2:30 - 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. Additional after-school care shifts may be negotiated. All split shifts will be compensated with an allowance.
Duties:
Develop a highly cooperative relationship with all staff members to ensure a consistently caring and smoothly operating service
Model and encourage educators to develop and maintain respectful and equitable relationships with each child
Provide leadership and positive support for educators and model appropriate skills for other service staff and students
You must have:
Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care OR equivalent experience in an OSHC role
Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration – or willingness to obtain
Regular availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts during our opening hours
