The People & Culture Advisor is responsible for partnering with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, define requirements, talent attraction and candidate assessment, and support the selection and appointment of employees across Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success and corporate functions.
The role manages the end-to-end recruitment process, including vacancy briefings, job advertising, candidate sourcing, applicant screening, interviews, assessments, shortlisting, offer coordination and recruitment reporting. The role also supports employer branding, candidate experience and recruitment systems to ensure the organisation attracts and appoints high-quality talent in competitive markets.
● Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs, capture job vacancy requirements, and clarify position duties, skills, experience, employment conditions and hiring timelines.
● Advise hiring managers on recruitment strategies, salary ranges, candidate availability, labour market conditions and appropriate sourcing channels.
● Own relationships with providers, including the Prepareation, publishing and management of job advertisements across LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, careers pages, professional networks and other relevant recruitment channels.
● Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, talent pools, professional networks, direct outreach and external recruitment partners.
● Screen and interview candidates to determine their career objectives, availability and suitability for specific roles in accordance with role requirements, skills, experience etc.
● Prepare candidate shortlists, and assist hiring managers to compare and evaluate shortlisted applicants.
● Coordinate interviews, candidate assessments, reference checks, background checks and right-to-work checks where required.
● Manage communications with candidates, hiring managers and recruitment partners throughout the hiring process, including providing candidates with information about vacancies, role requirements, salary expectations, benefits and employment conditions.
● Support offer management by preparing offer recommendations, coordinating approvals, supporting salary and employment term negotiations, and liaising with successful candidates through offer acceptance and pre-employment checks.
● Maintain accurate recruitment activity records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS - HiBob), and produce recruitment reports covering vacancy status, pipeline health, source effectiveness, time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, recruitment costs and hiring outcomes.
● Support managers with probationary review processes and coordination of onboarding, ensuring all new team members are set up for success.
● Enable data-driven people planning, including talent (hiring) planning, cyclical people activities including probation reviews, engagement and remuneration.
● Ensuring effective allocation of resources across key areas such as recruitment software subscriptions, advertising, talent acquisition costs and other people-related expenses (background checks etc.)
● Own and promote people related software including:
○ HiBob (ATS, hiring management and core modules) ○ LinkedIn Recruit and other job boards ○ Rosterfy in the community ○ Bonusly● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Commerce or a related discipline.
● At least 12 months’ relevant experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
● Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including vacancy briefing, advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, shortlisting, offer coordination and recruitment administration.
● Experience partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements and advise on recruitment strategies.
● Expertise in HiBob (our ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, talent pools, referral channels and professional networks.
● Exceptional interviewing, candidate assessment, communication and stakeholder management skills.
● Deep knowledge of fair recruitment practices, equal employment opportunity, privacy requirements, right-to-work checks and employment conditions.
● Ability to manage multiple vacancies at different stages of the recruitment process while maintaining accurate records and a positive candidate experience.
