About the role

Join the Duke Civil team as a Pit & Pipe Installer on a casual basis. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for installing pits and pipes as part of our civil infrastructure projects across Canberra ACT 2600. Your role will play a key part in delivering essential services to the local community.

What you'll be doing

• Installing underground pits, pipes and associated infrastructure for the latest NBN rollout through north Canberra.

• Excavating and preparing ground to required depths for pit and pipe installation through hydro excavation methods.

• Backfilling and compacting around pipes and pits to meet safety and quality standards

• Following all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

• Completing all required documentation and reporting as needed

Requirements

• Experience in civil construction, with a focus on pit and pipe installation

• White Card

• Asbestos Awareness & Silicia Awareness

• Supervise Asbestos Removal (Preferred not required)

• HR Licence (MR Preferred at minimum)

• ILPUA Ticket (Preferred not required)

• Strong attention to detail to ensure work is completed to a high standard

• Team player with good communication skills
