About the role
We have an opportunity for a Policy & Assurance Lead to be part of our Cyber Security, Risk & Assurance Technology & Communication Services Command team. The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust cybersecurity framework that aligns with organisational objectives and regulatory obligations. It ensures consistent implementation and enforcement of security policies and standards, monitors compliance and drives assurance activities. The role embeds secure-by-design principles into strategic initiatives, proactively addressing emerging risks and continuously improving the organisation’s security posture by collaborating with technical teams.
Working in the Cyber Defence Centre as part of the Technology & Communication Services Command of NSW Police offers the chance to contribute to one of the largest police forces in the western world while shaping cutting-edge capabilities that directly enhance community safety and modern policing. It also provides exposure to rapidly evolving cyber environments, next-generation policing systems, and a growing, well-resourced team committed to combating emerging digital threats. This role would provide opportunity to shape and lead Cyber Security policy & assurance frameworks within NSW Police Force.
