Procurement & Contract Renewal Officer
Are you an experienced procurement professional who enjoys managing contracts, improving processes, and delivering value-for-money outcomes?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Contract Renewal Officer to join our team in a permanent full-time role. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in managing contract renewals, coordinating tender processes, and supporting continuous improvement across procurement operations.
In this role, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure procurement and contract activities are compliant, efficient, and commercially sound.
Location: City of Melville Civic Centre
Salary: $87,078.06 to $100,783.71 pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage contract expiry and renewal processes to ensure continuity of service and compliance
Coordinate quotation and tender processes from advertising through to evaluation and award
Prepare procurement and contract documentation in line with legislative and organisational requirements
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding contract variations, extensions, and annual CPI reviews
Maintain tender registers, contract schedules, and procurement records
Prepare reports for advisory committees and Council
Support the ongoing improvement of procurement systems, policies, procedures, and workflows
Contribute positively to a collaborative, customer-focused team culture
What We’re Looking For
You are highly organised, analytical, and confident managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously. You enjoy working autonomously while also collaborating across teams and building strong stakeholder relationships.
A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, tendering and contract administration
Experience coordinating quotation/tender processes and evaluations
Strong understanding of procurement compliance, probity and contracting principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
Experience using computerised purchasing or financial management systems
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally
Experience developing or improving policies, procedures and work instructions
